FUE Hair Transplant

FUE hair transplantation, which is the most commonly used hair transplantation technique today, has now replaced FUT hair transplantation, which was the transfer of hair follicles taken in strips in the past. FUE, which stands for Follicular Unit Excision, is a procedure that involves removing individual hair follicles from the back and sides of your head and transplanting them to a part of the scalp that is suffering from thinning or baldness.

In FUE , the back and sides of the head are considered the donor area and the patient with a receding hairline or thin crown area is retransferred to this balding area. During a period of 6-12 months, the transplanted hair replaces the previously lost hair and grows. The result is a naturally rejuvenated appearance.

Advantages of FUE Hair Transplantation

FUE hair transplantation method has many advantages. Some of those:

  • No incision is made in this technique, so no scars are formed in the donor area of the patient.
  • In FUE hair transplantation, channels are opened in the area where the patient has no hair and the grafts taken from the donor area are transferred.
  • No side effects are seen after the FUE hair transplant operation.
  • Does not require anesthesia to avoid pain.
  • Although the recovery period varies from patient to patient, it is between 10-15 days.

We aim to provide our patients with the natural results that best suit them. We first recommend the most suitable technique to our patients, and then determine the most suitable hairline for their head structure. Depending on the patient after planning, final results can be achieved within 10-12 months after the operation.

How is FUE Hair Transplantation Performed?

In the first stage, the hair in the area where the roots will be taken for FUE hair transplantation is shortened to 1 mm in length. The preferred method of anesthesia is applied. Grafts are collected one by one from the donor area. The most important point to be considered while doing this process is that the grafts are taken towards the direction of hair growth. Non-destructive removal of the grafts is one of the important parameters that ensure the success of the operation.

The second step, after the hair follicles are collected, the next step is to open the channels where the hair follicles will be placed. The channels are opened with sapphire tip or micro blades.

The third and final stage is the hair transplantation process. After the channel opening process, hair transplantation is performed one by one as in the collection method.
